Uh oh. Sounds like rough times are ahead for Nancy Grace.

The hard-hitting journalist was hit with a lawsuit by the family of a mother who committed suicide shortly after having an interview with Grace. Her toddler had gone missing and Grace had questioned her, very aggressively and with a great deal of accusation, claiming that the mother’s refusal to take a lie detector test was perhaps indicative that the woman was hiding something.

The woman shot herself not long after. And her family, obviously distraught from the suicide, issued the lawsuit against Grace and CNN in general. Their attorney says that Grace effectively stopped the investigation into the toddler’s death in its tracks, as she erased the chance that they might get more info out of the mother.

Well, a judge has since ruled that the lawsuit will go ahead, so, we’ll see what happens. Chilling case either way.

NancyGrace.com. Given her stature as a news figure, you’d figure Nancy Grace would be a shoo-in for a website owner. NancyGrace.com should have been sewn up and taken by her long ago.

But not so. In fact if you go to www.nancygrace.com you’ll find yourself on a page that’s completely different: it’s a site for a Christian women’s speaker called Nancy Grace.

Nancy KAY Grace.

Apparently that distinction is very important to the speaker, who looks like a perfectly lovely person. So important a distinction, in fact, that on the main page there’s a small - but relatively distinct - message that reads, ‘Nancy Kay Grace is NOT the legal analyst from CNN and Court TV.’

NOT. Heavy stuff.

The website even redirects you to NancyKayGrace.com. This lady’s really desperate to separate herself from Nancy Grace.

Have a look if you’re trying to hunt down a good speaker for your next conference.

Nancy Grace is not known for her sociability. She’s generally a rather inflammatory figure, with a touch that often ignites hot issues and a voice that can melt the toughest opponents.

So it was a strange sight when Grace appeared on the popular daytime talk show The View and showed a wholly human side to otherwise bulldog persona. The laughed and joked with the other women of the panel. Even stranger, she spent her time not talking about politics as muc, but more about her new children. And she was showing baby pictures, to boot.

Even better: there were rumors after Rosie O’Donnell left The View that Grace was trying to snag the spot. It was reported that Grace left her old TV show, Court TV, to try for the spot. Granted, she never did get it, but wouldn’t that have been scary? Would she even have had what it takes to successfully navigate that show?

I guess we’ll never know now. Or will we?

Nancy Grace usually has a lot to say whenever a controversial case pops up. The 2006 Duke Universioty Lacrosse case proved no exception.

The case involved the alleged gang rape of a stripper and escort at a party at the team’s captain’s house. The girl charged three of the players of forcing her to have sex.

Grace was pro-prosection towards the players from the start of the case, making quite a few inflammatory comments during her coverage of the trial and speaking out of hand several times. She also ambushed fellow anchor Clark Goldband on air by asking him for ‘the stats’; he thought she meant lacrosse stats, but she chastised him by saying she wanted ‘rape stats’. It’s unknown if this was an honest mistake or a setup by the network.

The three players were eventually acquitted of all charges and the case was dropped. Grace’s coverage of it ended there, too, and she was replaced by another reporter for followup reports on the case. She has yet to apologize for her behavior.

Nancy Grace was to be married to her fellow college student, Keith Griffin, when she was 19. However, he was murdered shortly before the the two were to graduate college. This event prompted Grace to enroll in law school.

However, Grace is currently married to David Linch, an investment banker, whom she had met in college as well. Nacy had given up on the thought of being married after the death of her fiance, but she had kept in touch with Linch for many years. “It was a spur-of-the-moment decision to get married,” she said “I told my family only two days before the wedding.”

Nancy Grace and David Linch were married in a private ceremony in the spring of 2007. Nancy and David have since had twin babies, whom Nancy had to deliver early in an emercency C-section. Nancy Grace has said of being married, “This is such a blessing, and I can’t believe that, at my age, I would find such happiness.”

CNN Prime Time anchorwoman Nancy Grace revealed that she was having twin babies in the summer of 2007.

Nancy delivered the twins very early when doctor’s noted she might have pulmonary edema in November of that year. Grace was hospitalized when she began to have pain, and breathing problems. It was during this stay that two blood clots were discovered in Nancy’s lungs. She recovered soon after, and and the health of her baby boy and girl was looking good as well.

She was even able to bring both babies home for the holiday season. Nancy Grace’s twin babies soon appeared in US Weekly. The noted television lawyer contributes regularly to Nancy “Grace’s Baby Blog.” In her most recent entry, she noted that her baby boy and girl were developing nicely, and that they had started to react to the world around them. You can read Nancy Grace’s Baby Blog at CNN.com.
